The Waterberg Coal Company (ASX:WCC) has appointed ARDBEL as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the Waterberg Coal Project in South Africa.
ARDBEL will carry out the detailed design and execution of the 22 million tonne per annum Coal Handling Facility, Processing Plant and associated civil works.
It will also carry out preliminary design and basic engineering works for the project.
Waterberg Coal has a JORC Resource of 3.88 billion tonnes of coal of which 2.07 billion tonnes is in the Measured category.
The Waterberg Coal joint venture is currently engaging with the debt and equity capital markets to secure appropriate funding for the development of the project.
Due diligence for this purpose, currently being undertaken by the Banking Group, is at an advanced stage.ARDBEL is a joint venture between ELB Engineering Services and the DRA Group.
