    Re: subsidiaries and assets, there are legitimate reasons for certain structures. Especially when Australian listed entities have overseas operations.

    But sometimes they can be more complicated than necessary and lead the 'parent' entity in a world of hurt when the gong gets tough. Ask previous holders of Allco, Centro, B&B etc...
