You might see Australia as "an abandoned child still pining for her mummy Mrs Britain", but most people with an ounce of common sense see Australia as a rich, confident, independant nation that is hugely proud of its heritage - and grateful to the UK for setting it up with a strong democracy and independent rule of law.
Only fools think (or say anything) otherwise.
