I have just received a couple dividend statement showing a $7k dividend.
I live in New Zealand so cant claim the Australian franking credits so now have a 33% tax liability on the special dividend.
I cant see how this special dividend adds any value for shareholders. Surely there had to be a better way of arranging for the capital structures of both companies without declaring a large special dividend.
I am totally unimpressed with this poor decision from the Think executive team.
