It clearly states: "Phylogica has identified 37 unique Phylomer® peptides that can effectively target a
key element in inflammatory diseases"

That was the first key stage of the process - identification of compounds that 'do something'. The Phylomer peptides identified were successfully binding to a signaling protein involved in modulating the activity of specific Toll-Like Receptors, which play a critical role in a number of inflammatory diseases. In other words, if you bind these signaling proteins you effectively block the inflammatory response.

Opsona has been undertaking the 'next phase' of testing these compounds.

And naturally, shareholders will have a degree of confidence that Opsona's testing will further confirm the positive activity of the Phylomers given to them.

You also have to remember that this is only one of many collaborations that Phylogica have, all of which add enormously to the credibility of the company. The companies and research organisations that Phylogica is collaborating with don't deal with biotechs that aren't serious and credible.
