Whilst not wanting to underestimate the significance of BQT’s announcement this morning, in my view, this has nothing to do with (and is in addition to) the previous announcement relating to “the deal”. There are a number of reasons why (in my opinion) the two announcements are not linked, including (but not limited to):
1. Optimiser is not an “international client” – it is based in WA
2. Optimiser cannot have been developing “over a period of 10 years” technology that will bring “major benefits to the global Financial Community”, as it was only founded in 1996 (ie less than 10 years ago).
3. There is no reference to $$’s, HoldCo, Stage 1, Stage 2 or a global roll-out in today’s announcement, as per the 9 June announcement.
Therefore, I have concluded that today’s announcement is one of “There will be other important announcements shortly” foreshadowed by Genner on 9 June. Just my view of course. I am happy to continue holding, pending further news/clarity re: “the deal”.
