It does make sense if some posters relate the presence of gridComm's CEO in Australia to the signing of the acquisition deal. Since ODN (acquirer) is an Australian publicly listed company and gridComm (acquiree) is a Singaporean company, the deal may need to be sealed and signed in Australia under the Australian laws. The payment of purchase consideration for gridComm would be through ODN's share offering under the ASX listing rules. However, I may be wrong. Please DYOR.
