I totally get where you are coming from but blind optimism can also be your ruin. I rolled with the punches on my last play and I lost 50% of my capital. I kept revising my stop loss down and averaged down in the hope it would come good.
I agree that constantly monitoring the SP is not a good practice as you can get shaken out but you have to be aware of the trend and adapt / predict where the share is going at any given time and revise your risk exposure. I don't believe anyone here on HC has anymore info on the deal than the rest of us so I'm not taking any of the unverified information as part of my decision making process.
