As a user, I'm displeased & disappointed the role Politics appears to have played in creating the unfolding supply scenario. Referring to reasoned scientific analysis, they would likely to have taken effective actions progressively to improve the situation.
I'm have been told - energy privatisation was to break union controls, perhaps unions were becoming too strong & self - interested? Not sure how you get two opposing views to work towards the common benefit?
Well many years later, privatisation has broken out, profit objectives leading the way, regardless of Country energy security & supply at what in Australia s/be a very cost competitive market has been hijacked by lobyists, minorities with a vocal voice.
Consumers are about to pay the price!
Where does that leave Blue .....?, I just hope the John's drip feed the process - I'm happy with my holding, but would add to it as available funds come through!
