Toro Energy's (TOE) quartz vein sampling program at Golden Ways has returned rock chip samples of up to 14.7g/t gold and anomalism over the entire 900-metre strike length.

The Golden Ways Target Area is located in the north of Toro's wholly-owned Yandal Gold Project in the Yandal Greenstone Belt of Western Australia.

Toro completed the sampling program in early July as part of its planned 2020 exploration program over the Yandal Gold Project.

The program focused on two large outcropping quartz vein including one striking north and shown by mapping to be outcropping for at least 500 metres and the second is striking northeast and is shown to extend for roughly 450 metres.

Toro collected 257 rock chip samples, and key findings indicate the highest-grade sample contains 14.7 g/t gold. 24 per cent of all samples contain greater than one g/t gold, 6.6 per cent contain more than five g/t gold, and only 3.5 per cent of samples returned assays below the detection limit for gold, which is one part per billion.

Pleasingly, the sampling program highlights the prospectiveness of the Golden Ways Target Area for significant vein hosted gold mineralisation.

Toro will now conduct limited reverse circulation (RC) drilling over the anomalism identified over the entire 900 metres of strike. The RC rig is expected to arrive on site in the coming weeks.

Company shares remain in the grey at 1.4 cents each at 10:59 am AEST.
