They import diesel into Botswana; there is a plethora of CBM gas stored underneath a very large part of Botswana. All the CBM guys need to do is prove they can extract and deliver it to Orapa’s gate, cost effectively. That is the prize here. The competition is other gas competitors who would want to import gas to Botswana and deliver to Orapa, likely as CNG. Not sure if the contract is large enough to excite LPG and LNG suppliers, given the existing gas market is so shallow currently in Botswana - but then again, you got to start somewhere.
Only other thing I would say is, Govt and Ministry put a 2 month submission deadline on the RFP. No chance imo this will be adhered to. Too many questions to be asked of Ministry and BPC - they simply are incapable of focussing and replying on a timely manner.
