I disagree. I believe TPG was banking on a favourable domestic roaming outcome. Now TPG will need to convince its customers that it can service them with metro-only coverage in the first few years, and I doubt a lot of people will sign up, knowing that once they step out of the metro area, there will be no coverage.

A logical TPG should pursue a business of sorts with Vodafone, or at least a partnership to pool its resources for mutual benefit.

Sadly, TPG has made a bet which has gone the other way.
