Transfield Services Limited (ASX:TSE) has strengthened its 12 year relationship with Telstra Corporation Limited (ASX:TLS) by securing a panel appointment with Australia’s largest telco.
The two year contract has a two year extension option and is expected to initially generate around $150 million, up to $25 million more per year than the previous deal.
Transfield will continue to provide Telstra with engineering services and upgrades to its critical exchange infrastructure assets across Australia.
Earlier this month Transfield said that it had been awarded a $133 million National Broadband Network contract to design and construct the fibre optic network in Victoria.
In the 2011 financial year Transfield Services booked a net loss of $19.3 million.
