Transurban Group (ASX:TCL) says its first half profit has grown by 25 per cent on an increase in toll revenues and traffic numbers.
Net profit for the six months to December was $93.2 million, up from $74.7 million in the previous corresponding period.
Net profit from ordinary activities was $96.6 million, up 27 per cent from $76 million in the previous corresponding period.
Chief executive Chris Lynch says a strong second half of the financial year would deliver the free cash necessary to deliver the company's guidance of a distribution of at least 29 cents for the full year.
Transurban boosted its net profit by 89 per cent to $118 million in the 2011 financial year.
