the report from the manager was very brief as she was on lunch. i sensed that she didn't really want to disclose much info regardless.
anyway, she sort of indicated that foot traffic and sales were a tad quiet, but then blamed it on the 25% of her store that was just empty space and underutilized.
apparently , her theory was that if shoppers from outside walking by saw too much vacant space for a so called discount shop, the first reaction from them is to ask- 'no way that this is a true discount shop.'
i tend to agree, but still purchased Colgate toothpaste at 25% discount to Coles and a small non stick frypan for $5 of good quality and even some lithium Energizer batteries that were 15 % less than Coles.
ps- i just hope they sort all this out as they can always count on my patronage for what it is worth.
