Without wanting to go into it, my wife is a QPS officer in a regional/rural community, she is also friends with Randall who was shot and luckily escaped.
This call was very much routine and can be done 2-3 times per day by these officers. In most circumstances the person they are conducting the welfare check on has passed away. The report was issued by the gunman's mother.
