I wonder if the ACCC would step in. Tyro originally entered the market because there was an attempt to open up the oligopoly that controlled payments in Australia. A sale to one of the big 4 would just reinforce that. Sure there are a bunch of new players now, but a sale here would just reinforce that this will keep happening over and over again in Australia.
