I am Brazilian and I totally agree with you about Brazilian politicians. 95% corrupt.
But you need to understand what is going on in Brazil at the moment. And this is really important to understand this issue.
1 - For the last two years there's been a huge fight between public prosecutors and the government and all politicians. For the first time in the country's history, politicians and corrupt business owners are being prosecuted and jailed by public prosecutors. 2 - This new action is being moved by the public prosecutor's office and they are 100% independent from the government or politicians. They are backed by 99% of the population.
That's why I believe this will get ugly and won't be resolved quickly. It is not about politicians trying to get some free money. It is about fairness and justice.
