Thats the problem...its going to be the Brazilian Federal Judiciary that likely determines what reasonable is. Not you or me. That Judiciary is consiousky or unconciously Brazilian and each is human and each influenced by their Brazilian patriotism.
Would your attitude to damages arising to say Kakadu National Park by a negligent French Company as oppossed to a negligent Australian Company be different or not? In other words the individual thinks should be the outcome and what they consider fair is irrelevant. It's what the umpire says it is...and the umpire her is the Brazilian Federal Court.
