    ... and why haven't our resident multi-billionaires invested in our Northern regions? Because they care only about themselves and their wealth and how to get away without paying no more than a minuscule amount of taxes.
    If you let China in, they will come in just like any other colonial power and take over - remember the Brits, French and other Europeans and lately the Land of the Free, who specialise in destroying the local government first off and creating havoc; all for the sake of raw materials.
    The present Chinese government is setting China up to take advantage of the huge markets which will be accessible to them in the East (take a look at their infrastructure plans for roads, railways etc) and we are part of that plan, but it is raw materials in our case and food production which they want. In the meantime our politicians are bickering about who is in charge, because essentially things are still good for the average citizen, who doesn't bother to interest him- herself enough outside their own petty concerns. 'Selfie anyone?'
