Venus Metals Corporation (ASX:VMC) has commissioned Midas Engineering Group to conduct a technical review and metallurgical test work for the Youanmi Vanadium Project in Western Australia.

Youanmi was historically drill tested along 3.5 kilometre strike length and has a JORC 2012 Inferred Resource of 330.6 million tonnes at 0.29% V2O5, 5.95% titanium and 19.41% iron.

Midas Engineering is a globally-recognised independent specialist engineering consultancy group that has operated for over 26 years with an excellent reputation in the resource sector and has worked on numerous vanadium projects.

It has been working with TNG Limited (ASX:TNG) on the Mt Peake Project including a Scoping and Pre-Feasibility Study that resulted in the development of TNG’s TIVAN™ process.

This process was developed as an alternative process to conventional pyrometallurgical processes for vanadium that has the advantage of recovering vanadium, titanium and iron.

Midas technical due diligence review of the Youanmi Vanadium Project will include:

- Historical review of the metallurgy and further test work;
- Identify what has been established to date;
- Prepare a comprehensive independent technical report;
- Development of strategies going forward with the aim of establishing a viable vanadium project to allow project funding.
