Venus Metals Corporation (ASX:VMC) is currently finalising a capital raising, with the ASX granting the company a trading halt to organise.
At the company's Copper Hills project in Western Australia, a first class drilling target has been identified at PM Prospect based on recent geological mapping, sampling and airborne EM data evaluation.
The prospect occurs in metamorphic Proterozoic rocks of the Rudall Complex, a Proterozoic province that includes the Telfer, Nifty and Kintyre mineral deposits.
Sixteen surface samples with supergene copper mineralisation were collected by Venus in June 2014 to verify past sampling by other explorers.
The samples, from old pits and trenches over a 1 kilometre strike delivered very high peak values of 48.9% copper and 115g/t silver.
The halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Thursday 14th August 2014, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.
