Village Roadshow Limited (ASX:VRL) has seen its first half profit drop below expectations following a period of adverse weather conditions.
The theme park operator’s net profit declined 26.2 per cent to $13.3 million in the first half of the 2015 financial year.
Village Roadshow says it was impacted by challenging conditions such as atrocious weather in the Gold Coast and Sydney during the key busy period.
Looking ahead the company expects the second half to be significantly stronger than the first.
A fully franked interim dividend of 14 cents per share has been declared.
