Have bought and sold VRL a dozen times over the last 15 years or so.
Although I am not a trader at all, the cycles of the business have generated so quite spectacular return from 70c in the noughties to $7 and then back down to $1.80 and up to $3.80 in the last 12 months.
I love the stock, I love their "products", not a big fan of management, even though their lousy decisions have generated some exceptional buy/sell gains for retail investors.
I will absolutely buy in the mid to low $2 range and expect the exit of the old guard will see a more focussed business that will prove very attractive to many overseas media players once the rubbish businesses has been jettisoned.
It is really just a matter of time, in my view and if/when the price goes over $4, the feuding Kirby's will happily sell out and finally enjoy their retirement.
Maybe on the way out, they could rustle up a screenwriter and production crew to make of a movie, say "The Village Family" warts and all.
