Always sucks to see someone get skinned. You can only imagine the internal tension between executive team and Partners of acquired companies who got paid out in stock. If VRS have a large proportion of their survey resource tied into existing large infrastructure contracts at low rates then one can only think that they will need to ride out those contracts? or win new large contracts at higher than previously quoted rates? I'm positive that all of the cost savings of streamlining this technical service through consolidating these disparate businesses would have washed through by now and that the difference between profit and loss sits more in their ability to secure better rates than find further 'cost' savings.
