I suspect a combination of inabiltiy to improve margins and the fallout from recent write downs. Seems pretty clear VRS paid too much for some of their aquisitions given what they are delivering and BM would have a lot of input into that. If profitability were on the improve, perhaps he may have survived. Instead VRS will spin the next reporting to show these write downs and ongoing margin issues as a legacy problem, with the company installing new leadership to rectify.
