This is not the first time that Stellantis has invested in CTR. They and GM did invested big money in them about a year or so ago too.
Some industry experts at that time have commented (desperate times calls for desperate actions or something similar) that both the companies are acted irrationally out of desperation on a unproven tech because they fail to secure future Li supplies but doing so making a mistake and their investment is just to test the waters only.
there was a merit on that claim as only Stellantis,GM and CTR knew what they were doing..
But now after more than one year Stellantis comes back and invested even bigger sum on CTR says big big story.. you can make a mistake once but do it again in a competitive global theatre during dire economic environment??
for me this is as good as news as vulcan has released a really good news..
If successful as anticipated DLE is the future, that's why many wants to do DLE now.. open cut mines and evaporation ponds will play its role till DLE take over imo. Shareholders will be happy that they found VUL early on its journey if things eventuated that way..
