You're right... It's quite ridiculous.
What's wrong with using some sick leave to see the doctor, or a week of holidays.
Many companies these days also have "Mental Health" Leave which I find hilarious.
Honestly, would you even want to tell the boss you need time off for fertility leave.
Personally I'd try and keep that to myself.
Sounds like a great little office scam to rack up some extra time off.
