    Agree. The media, not surprisingly, is loving writing their daily stories of doom and the impending armageddon of millions unable to pay their homeloans and forced selling causing a housing crash. The data show that a very large proportion of people with home loans are 12 months to 2 years ahead of their repayments and more have cash in offset accounts.
    So are there people currently finding themselves when the homeloan payment is due, short in savings, sure, probably quite a lot. But are those same people in one or both of the categories above, and have no problem for a year or more topping up from the offset or redraw - the vast majority!

    There are some that won't be able to, and sure there will be write-offs, but some perspective is needed on how serious it will be for WBC.

    But some may enjoy the media clickbait articles and coming here with predictions of a housing crash - I don't see it.
