I hope it's not sitting on your backside collecting tax free super because that wasn't a thing back then either, or dividend imputation much less return of Franking credits.
And the marginal tax rate over $30K was 60 cents in the dollar.
The laziest people I've ever come across (by a country mile) are Australian superannuation-funded retirees. Doubly sickening when they feel the need to lecture on their life of hard work.
In all seriousness if we had less corpulent, opinionated bludgers sitting on their backsides to support we'd all be better off.
(And just in case you're wondering, I'm Australian and retirement age, just sensible enough to understand how the deck was really stacked).
