these guys sit in apra's pockets. wouldve known years in advance what the requirements were and adjusted accordingly.
no, this has to be something bigger. u dont dilute holders and raise $2.5bn for nicks.
im spec'in:
1. this is a strategic war chest to diversify their income streams post wealth mngt hit or
2. they know something has gone sour in the books / will go sour, building a buffer to weather the storm.
no-one in their right mind raises $2.5bn just as a "buffer"....if scenario 1 plays true, well done for them, if its scenario 2, nasty things are dead ahead.
either way, gltah, ill sit this out and watch with "interest"
