WELLINGTON, Jan 21 (Reuters) - Westpac Bank said on Thursday that it now expects New Zealand's Central Bank to hold the official cash rate (OCR) at 0.25% for the foreseeable future.
The bank previously forecast the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) would cut interest rates by 25 basis points in May and August this year, which would take the OCR to -0.25%. (([email protected]; +6448028163; Reuters Messaging: [email protected]; Twitter: https://twitter.com/Journopraveen))
