Really cannot understand the bile that gets spewed out on this stock. Has anyine done the numbers - I did a back of cigarette box calculation from what the oil and gas industry provided and added coal and came up with the fact that every living Australian was gifted north of $120 cash last year via actual tax, royalties and other taxes.
Why hate this as Coal ,Oil, gas are at the very least 3 of the top 5 exports we have.
Then to suggest that WDS cannot competently merge Santos into its operations by adding both market caps together is disingenuous. WDS is $60 billion company STO is $23 billion its actually a takeover. then WDS just effectively merged BHP oil and gas and thst was roughly equal weighting.
I dont think that I know enough to comment on Meg but I never thought it would be Australian to play the family. I hope that bringing overseas fights onto our shores and picketing and intimidating families at their homes stops.
Respect the ability of Aussie companies we need them.
