July 4 (Reuters) - Saudi Aramco 2223.SE and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) have been separately considering bids for Australian gas producer Santos (STO) , Bloomberg News reported on Thursday citing people with knowledge of the matter.
Both Saudi Aramco and ADNOC have been conducting preliminary evaluations of Santos as a possible acquisition target, the report said citing sources who declined to be named as the information was private.
Santos and Saudi Aramco did not immediately respond to Reuters' requests for comment, while ADNOC declined to comment.
Earlier this year, Australia's Woodside Energy (WDS) had held preliminary talks with Santos to form a $52 billion energy giant but discussions collapsed.
