Agree re voting power imbalance, but the likes of BHP, RIO, STO (?) and FMG are all "rolled gold" miners, been through all of this, and come through and out the other side, much better for it. Can recall when BHP had that Jack Nasser as the Chairman, spent most of his time in the USA, and via a few natural disasters (Samarco), sp was down to about $16 or thereabouts. Once Nasser and then BHP then CEO (Andrew MacKenzie) were out of the way, BHP started to recover and prosper. Holders had that opportunity, but great news, Chairman Goyder and that team are reelected at the AGM and there for several more years. In any case, how can the Chairman and CEO be so "missing" when $Bns of holders' wealth are being destroyed on their watch.
