I'd like to see Bunnings get a part of its current business in order. Admittedly its probably only small cheese: here in the central west of NSW, not particularly known as a tropical hotspot, we see pallets of plants such as mango, mangosteen, avocado and various ornamentals in the nursery. Naturally punters seem somewhat reluctant to purchase so they languish and die.
Then there is the issue of regular watering: I've asked nursery staff on a number of occasions why numerous plants appear to be dying from lack of water and get "yeah they need water but thats not my job". Spoke to a newly installed manager recently and despite "we're making changes" plants continue to die. As recently as yesterday.
I'm a bit old hat, but have found that looking after the pennies, the pounds look after themselves.
