All workers should be able to access secure jobs to ensure a livelihood and employers should have the ability to fire those who can't do the job under a fair and transparent process. From my experience, permanent staff that are treated well will do more for the organisation/company than those treated like expendable machine parts. A basic understanding of behavioural psychology and some emotional intelligence will go a long way in these matters.
