the company was overpromoted before it had done the neccessary work. They delivered a "bankable feasibility study" based on a handful of new drillholes and no pilot scale testwork. The pilot testwork commenced after they found some impressionable kiwi kids and a few old pals to finance it and construction was underway. It was too late. The claims of largest, lowest cost that appeared in presentations and commissioned broker reports were statements of hope. The original promoters fled.
