    FOMC minutes released Tuesday afternoon hinted that further quantitative easing from the U.S. central bank is not likely. ... pushed gold prices sharply lower.

    Not helping the bulls’ case,

    national holiday in China that has physical gold demand squelched at present,

    sellers’ strike in India due to a recent tax hike on gold retailers.

    Also (IMO) Easter holidays trail-off in Aust.

    Low daily sales volumes mean current SP does not reflect true market value for MET
