1. They haven't run out of toilet paper. The shelves got emptied quicker than they could be restocked, but there is pallets of the stuff in loading docks everwhere. It's made in Australia and supply is unaffected.
2. It's not a duopoly. Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, IGA and Costco are just some of the players.
