Ok I am probably going to be dumped on by institutional /hard core investors...
We apparently still own WOW shares, but only discovered this today when our tax agent mentioned it.
We changed addresses some 26 years ago, (yep, laugh, that's fine) and 'forgot' about the shares totally.
Not many at all, as I thought we had sold some, but maybe left scraggly amount.
Many problems including: 1. can't provide Link Market Services with old driving licenses, utilities bills, etc.
2. Don't have the SRN anymore.
They are requesting certified old and new driving licenses, etc. which we can only provide half (current).
Our tax agent says the fact that we know the franking dividend, franking credit and that they have been providing ATO with this information for years, means that we can prove we are us via our TFN.
Any ideas, other than to laugh at us, please.
Then we get to the issue of 'lost dividend money' - we have not received any, suspect we were getting mailed checked to an old address, that no longer exists (building torn down and 50 apartments built).
Any suggestions please? Apparently I hold!
