    The labour cost one is an interesting one, it only really applies if the goods are warehoused and supplied by Amazon, if they come from a vendor in the marketplace then it is irrelevant as long as the pricing is the same or lower than elsewhere.

    Based on the fact that Amazon started after everyone else and their technology leads in the area, their Warehousing costs should be less than others in the sector so wages in the logistics chain may not be all that relevant. The rest of Amazon seem to be IT so their costs are the same in Aus as US.

    I agree WOW has responded well and appears to have their heads in the right space again, but I just don't see WOW launching their own Alexa and as such the ability to provision Alexa buttons etc is limited.


    One thing that I think many forget is that Amazon is not starting from scratch here, they already have a blueprint in other countries that they will be looking to roll out here, with their'day one' ethos, they have already prototyped the concepts and are just dropping in cookie cutter capabilities, this is a lot faster than developing from scratch.
