I recently (a couple of months ago) bought WPL shares. I've noticed that if I compare the WPL and the Betashares FUEL ETF share prices together on a graph, the FUEL ETF (which tracks major world energy and gas producers) has been trending upwards for the last couple of weeks whereas WPL is flat, at best.
I am wondering if Woodside's performance was worse than its global peers, or if it's just yet to catch up with overseas energy companies' share price growth this month? I imagine all the major oil and gas producers have had a similarly bad year... I was going to buy some FUEL this week but am now thinking of topping up with more WPL.
