The Telink 8269 all in one SOC is the much delayed flagship product that Xped focused on with its porting. The above declaration from SIG indicates that the 8269 is now in its qualifying stage for complying with the much delayed SIG standards.
The XPED porting to the 8269 will allow it to be sold as an add on feature to the SOC if the customer requests it (all in one SOC/interoperability)

Basically the 8269 will be an opportunity for possible revenue once it meets SIG standards, a glimmer of hope perhaps in long list of delays.
