(not suggesting apt will achieve 30%)

my opinion

affiliate model removes merchant fees for customers
that would ONLY have chosen bnpl once at the checkout causing unnecessary payments to bnpl

Partnered merchant model :
merchants are paying for a service provided to customer

Affiliate model :
merchants are paying for a service provided to merchant

Cost benifit analysis ?????

Will not having the option of bnpl at the checkout save enough in merchant fees (from opportunistic bnpl users) to make it worth paying a higher % in affiliate fees.

(ie pay higher % on the smaller volume rather than a smaller % on higher volume.)


This may become the new norm for lager merchants for all bnpl companies?
