I've heard that Larry Diamond is being approached by the Trump administration to replace the current and sure to be replaced Chairman of the SEC Gary Gensler. Gensler has pushed back against legitimising crypto and his ESG credentials are the nail in the coffin. Larry Diamond has a close relationship with Australia's former Ambassador Joe Hockey who is now a consultant in Washington, also close to the President elect. It all fits together and there is no reason why his position as US Chair of ZIP would interfere with a posting as Chair of the SEC with a mandate to implement crypto and strengthen anti money laundering rules. Trump no longer has an interest in draining the swamp, only to promote successful business operators into government roles.Will be interesting to see it play out and would-be a great thing to put a rocket under the ZIP SP
