Market capitalisation is the value of the total number of shares multiplied by their price, whereas ZIP's loss impacts its financials, so they don't really have any relationship or bearing on each other. You've made a good point though - that loss of $400 mil has left the Balance Sheet with only $197 mil equity which is overshadowed by $350 mil intangibles and goodwill, meaning for 2 reasons that the cupboard is bare. Borrowings and receivables are up in line with increased turnover, but many of their lines of credit are close to their limits, so they may not be able to finance any expansion - definitely no new product ventures IMO, but if they do wish to, perhaps they will bale out of the USA sooner rather than when they will be forced to.

Income/revenue was $693 million, up on every previous year, which was great. Interest, bad debt, bank and corporate finance expenses were $560 million, almost equalling last year's revenue, also up on every other year. What sort of idioitic business is this?????????????
