"TRADING HALT REQUEST

"Zinc of Ireland NL (“the Company”) hereby requests a trading halt of its securities be granted by the ASX effective immediately, pending the release of an announcement regarding an acquisition.

"The trading halt will last until the earlier of commencement of trading on Friday, 26 May 2023 or the release to the market of an announcement in relation to the above.

" The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted. This request was authorised for release by the Board of the Company."

I've been waiting forever for such an announcement. The Company has $1.7 million cash as of 31 March 2023, and a market cap of next to nothing - $6.3 million, with 210 million shares.

In the last quarterly:
"ZMI is actively assessing new project opportunities and generating areas of interest to apply for exploration licenses over. "
If the project being acquired is attractive then the relatively low number of shares on issue could see a significant relating of the Company by the market!
