Good summary.
There is an old saying...When the game is over, the
king and the pawn go back in the same box.
I would like to walk up to Anna Bligh and say to her,
'one day, your life will flash in front of your eyes,
make it worth watching'...
In the next 10 years another billion people will join
the planets burgeoning population.Give each of them a
60 watt light bulb and then tell them they can use it
for just 4 hours a day. That would require twenty [20]
new 500MW coal fired power plants, simply to turn on the
lights.Nothing else.
Yet here in Queensland, there are the highest number of
disconnects in Australia. What are these people using
instead of electricity...candles.?
New data released by the Qld competition authority,
shows that things are getting worse.During 2010 there
were 17,913 disconnections.Unfortunately, the expected
total for 2011 is around 24,000,well up on last year.
[Gillard's carbon tax will play merry hell with future
disconnect figures]
On one hand..
Bligh's media appearances during the Qld floods showed
a touch of human kindness...
One the other..
Even the CSG bandits, [who are learning as they go]
must be concerned as to where their power will come
from to supply their 'increasingly flawed' technology.
Cheap abundant energy has been a way of life for this
country till recent times. The electricity demand by
the CSG thugs will be enormous and can only lead to
further unwanted price increases.
Ideally, there is a very real opportunity for Cougar,
amid the rising tide of awareness concerning the
perceived mismanagement of Qlds coal reserves.
The greed/stupidity that Bligh,Santos and BG display,
are not ideal bedfellows for the long haul and can only
lead to further ugly confrontations with the population
at large, demanding answers for their massive power bills
and land degradation in the years ahead.
[Chinese wont mind they will grab the farms any way they
can and use their own countrymen to refurbish the mess
that the CSG bandits leave behind..if that's possible]
Hope Len Walker is up to the task of opening the UCG
niche in the Australian power market. His hair was white
last time I saw him.Hope it isn't cut too short, for he
needs to become a 'Samson' among those who have no
understanding of the looming power crisis and political
dark days that will accompany it.
Sincere and correct conduct, when confronted by difficult
situations is the only 'time tested' way forward. We make
our own luck and we are all going to need it.
Go well you guys,
HM.
