Timmo: I have reviewed your post regarding the ASM and NPC's report regarding the LAMP and the requirements they stipulate are needed for Lynas Corporation to fulfill. The implied significance of the report may surround approval of the POL. I have divided the requirements into the following categories: 1. Waste Management 2. Health Screening 3. Discharge limits for toxic chemicals and heavy metals 4. Interim Radioactive Waste Storage facility 5. Public Education regarding inspection and enforcement of the regulatory actions of the LAMP. IMHO Lynas has probably fulfilled the majority if not all of the first 4 categories of requirements. The recent full page newspaper ad addressing the major issues involving the Lamp and the ongoing facebook dialogue help to satisfy the 5th requirement. The AELB is tabulating all of these actions and will grant the license for the LAMP when it is sure that their decision will be acceptable to the "majority" of the Malaysian population. Their decision should come soon and IMHO it will sanction the LAMP!!!
